In favor of the old POSIX code base: 1

The ayes have it. It's a paltry turnout, but a mandate noetheless.

We will henceforth develop the new POSIX codebase unless future
events and/or discussions direct us otherwise. I will package the old
POSIX code (probably with the large (731) messages.h) for posterity
and add it to the POSIX directory under 'old'.
