I've been pondering some modifications to the POSIX version:

1) All that configure stuff seems to be complicating an otherwise simple
program.  Can we pare it down?

2) NKIs should be seperated from the binary and kept somewhere like
/usr/local/share/rfk/nki/.  Furthermore, it should be possible to have
multiple NKI files.

3) What does the version number reflect?
