My changes are just cleanups and a handful of new NKIs.  I could
easily reapply them to the Triptygin code if that's required.

Actually, reconciling this doesn't look at all difficult.  The key datum
is that the only change in the CVS since 2003 has been the addition of a port.  
So here's how I'd handle this:

1) Convert the CVS, *without* my cleanups, to git.

2) Drop Alexey's code in and declare it a changeset.

3) Apply any of my cleanups that are still relevant afterwards.

I'm not expecting this to be a lot of work, even.
